 Residents of Marriaqua and surrounding areas in need of certain medical supplies now have access to same, following the handing over of a quantity of items by the Marriaqua District Medical Team, to the Levi Latham Health Complex.

The handing over formed part of activities to celebrate the organization’s first anniversary. Joseph Mapp, President of the Marriaqua Health Team acknowledged The St. Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua Alumni Association of North America for their commitment and dedication in sourcing the supplies and equipment.  

 Additionally, Mapp commended Island Wide Medical Transportation Services for facilitating the shipment and distribution of the items which among other things including medical supplies such as pampers, walkers, hand and foot prosthesis, wheelchairs and more.

 Expressing her appreciation for the gesture, Elfreda Joseph-Leonty, Foot Health specialist at the Levi Latham Health Complex thanked the sponsors who made the donation.  The Foot Health Practitioner added that the patients who are in need of these supplies would also value the gesture.
